Scroll The Distance

Australia is a big place. And Australians know it.

To explore our gigantic country, you need a vehicle with a petrol or diesel engine. It's been true for a long time. But not anymore.

The Tesla Model 3 has a battery that can go up to 500 km on one charge. How can we tell the country hooked on fossil fuels that an EV will do the job?

Reading 500 km written down doesn’t mean much by itself. It's easier to understand this distance when you compare it to something familiar. To show, don’t tell, we challenged the audience to go the distance an EV can go on one charge, with scrolling.

We built a custom site and offered the chance to win a new Tesla Model 3 for those who could scroll the distance. As they travel, they spot landmarks to guide them, like glancing out of the window on a long drive. Are we there yet?

Wish You Were There

Use the location of billboards around the country to show the audience how far they could get on one charge of a Model 3.

Distance Listening

Let’s give drivers something to listen to on the virtual road. A Spotify playlist with a mix of EV segues and scroll-inspiring hits.

Delivery Special

All this scrolling is making me hungry. To support those who are scrolling the distance, we’ll collaborate with Uber Eats for a discount on deliveries made with electric vehicles.

Recharge Required

Once you’ve scrolled the distance, we’ll point our users to day spas around the country, because drivers need a recharge before the vehicle does.
